The cuisine of Malvan has its own distinctive flavors and tastes. The coastal area boasts of its own cuisine, which is a homogeneous combination of Konkani, Malvani, and Goan cuisines. A lot of spices are used which have dry Red Chilies and other spices like coriander seeds, Peppercorns, Cumin, Cardamom, Ginger, Garlic etc. Some dishes also use Kokum, dried Kokam (Amsul), Tamarind, and Raw Mango (Kairi), Seafood Specialties.

This non-vegetarian dish is quite popular one. The dish consists of the traditional Malvani chicken curry (including chicken pieces with bones), vade (also known as puri, which is a fluffy, fried bread of wheat, jowari and corn).

SAGOTHI VADE:
This non-vegetarian dish is quite popular one. The dish consists of the traditional Malvani mutton curry (including mutton pieces with bones), vade (also known as puri, which is a fluffy, fried bread of wheat, jowari and corn).

MALVANI MUTTON MASALA:
It is a highly popular dish in the entire Konkan region. Tender pieces of mutton are cooked in a coconut based gravy.

VEGETARIAN:

USAL:
This is a very popular and delicious dish made of various sprouts in spicy curry.
GHAVANE:

It is a soft & thin rice dosa and is especially popular in Sindhudurg district. Its netted appearance gives it an even more enigmatic feel..

SOLKADI:
This is an energizing & appetizing drink, highly popular in Maharashtra. It is made from coconut milk and kokum. It tastes tangy and sour.

MALVANI VEG THALI : Combination of Chapati/bhakari, Vegetable, Usal, Rice, Pickle, Papad and Solkadhi.
